Custom Metal UID Tags
CodeSource can fabricate custom Aluminum & Stainless Steel UID/IUID Tags to meet your contract needs related to MIL-STD-130N. Our custom anodized aluminum UID tags, laser marked with information supplied by the customer, can withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environments.
Aluminum can be permanently engraved by ablating the tag to leave an intrusive mark on the surface of the part.
Stainless Steel can be annealed to achieve a black color with a non-intrusive mark. Annealed marks are achieved using the heat of the laser beam to cause oxidization beneath the metal. An annealed mark leaves a dark permanent mark and is ideal for applications in which part integrity and physical characteristics must remain constant.
